Spring is Coming!!!!

First Haircut

Abby's friend Jacquie got ahold of a pair of scissors last week and gave Abby her first haircut. This is the before...really not as bad as it originally looked when it was sticky and dirty. Enjoy the process of Abby getting her first haircut!

Christmas and Santa

The photos actually go backwards on this post and as I am too tired to rearrange them. If you would like to see them in order go to the bottom and work your way up.
The huge long story behind this Christmas photo is as follows...We tried numerous times to make it to the mall to see Santa. Finally, on the 21st it was our last chance before the huge mall rush over the weekend. We got there around 10am, where I got Abby dressed in the car and headed in to meet our friends. After arriving we went looking for a hair clip to tame my childs wild hair. After a stop at the calender store on the way back we headed to get in line. Unfortunately when we arrived (at 10:50am) Santa's line had been closed so he could take a lunch when he would then return at 12:30pm. I was angered to learn that I would have to wait an hour and forty minutes with a cranky toddler and try to make it through lunch with very little money besides wearing our good clothes. The guy was kind enough to inform us that Santa was likely to be done early at around 12:05pm.
We made it back to the line by noon where Santa had already returned and the line was extended even further then the ropes allowed. Despite all this, I got Abby into line and waited an hour to get to the front of the line. After all the issues I ASSUMED that now that we were in his sights all would go well....Abby freaked out and wouldn't go near him! I expected the Santa to try and do anything to make my life easier and get a picture but instead he moved over and forced me to sit down next to him. One, two, three, snap! Oh...and BREAK. The computer died and Abby and I had to wait another 45 mins while they tried to fix the computer.
During the wait Abby would run up and say Hi to Santa and got progressively closer so I assumed that when the camera was working again she would sit in his lap alone. I assumed wrong yet again as I was forced back into his lap to take the worst photo ever. All in all it only took four and a half hours to get one photo that cost me way more than it ever should.
Santa and Abby on our "Santa Break" I took these in hopes that I would get at least one good photo out of the whole ordeal. My darling girl and her outfit for Christmas and her visit with Santa. Abby playing with one of her Christmas presents! I helped Abby open the rest of her gifts, including her Mr. Potato Head stuff! My very advanced child got her first learning video game console...Unfortunately I have yet to see her work it properly. I wrapped Abby's new Disney movie pretty tightly so Jeff had to help open it. In keeping with the tradition that my child gets a moving vehicle of some sort for each major event, Abby received her first tricycle! Abby saw her tricycle first and was thrilled to give it a shot! All the presents and the tree!

Sorry

Sorry it's been forever since my last update. The break wasn't as relaxing as I thought it would be...we kept getting sick. I promise to add all the new photos soon!
