4th of July Parade
After finally finding Abby and Ellen, I attempt to call Chris and Tina to let them know where Abby is in the parade.
She was certainly proud of herself!
This is the moment after Ellen spotted my mother and I searching for them...We had to drop them off a bit away from the parade because the whole town was blocked off and shut down. Ellen forgot her cell phone in the car and we ended up parking a mile or two away and running (literally) to try to make it in time to see Abby.
The early morning rush attempt to decorate Abby's bike for the parade.
Abby waves bye to the rest of the parade after her part in it is done!
The 3rd of July
After the Singing Flag Abby showed me the zucchini she grew at her Grandmother Ellen's. I swear it was almost as big as her!
Here is the zucchini shown in relation to a $10 bill and my computer mouse (the small laptop kind). I don't know what kind of fertilizer they were using, but WOW!
It looks like a set from an old musical to me.
Abby took a break from dancing to share her light necklace with Grandma Ellen.
Why is it that Abby will sit for a photo with Grandma Ellen and no one else? I spent all night trying to get a photo of me with my kid, no dice.
One of those attempts to get a photo together.
Pool Days
Uncle David fails at sitting on the raft!
I think we're cute!
The perfect little family in my humble opinion...:-P
Abby finally let go of the side to swim around the pool in her floaties....
So she got a shark as a reward!
Unfortunately the butt of the shark doesn't hold enough air so you gotta hold her up on it...
Afternoon nap!
We grabbed lunch at Burger Road, it was actually pretty good other than the fries tasting like those from In n Out Burger.
Who couldn't love this face?
My mom's evil rat...
Until recently this is the only way I could get Abby into the middle of the pool! I am so proud of my little swimmer and all the progress she has made this summer.

Mommy Goes to the State Capital
Students from all over California were asked speak on the behalf of all students who receive Cal Grant's at the State Capital in Sacramento. We mostly spoke with aids but a few senators were gracious enough to listen to our stories. It was an amazing experience and something I hope to repeat next year, in better shoes!
